history: At Bhuikot Fort: Echoes of Patriotic Songs; Heritage Tour Held on the Occasion of Revolution Day

history: On Friday, a ‘Heritage Walk’ was organized at the Bhuikot Fort in Ahmednagar to mark the 9th August Revolution Day, World Tribal Day, and the 102nd birth anniversary of the historian Babasaheb Purandare. The atmosphere at the fort was enlivened by the patriotic songs presented by the ‘Runanubandh’ group during the tour. The event was organized by ‘Swagat Ahmednagar Heritage Walk’ and ‘Runanubandh.’

Students from Manipur and history enthusiasts from Pune also participated in this walk. Bhushan Deshmukh and Amol Baskar provided information about the fort. Posters of the Durbin Mahal, Farah Bakhsh Mahal, and Bhuikot Fort, conceptualized by Advocate Shyam Asava, were unveiled by Bhushan Deshmukh, Ajit Rokde, the President of Runanubandh, and Bhairavnath Wakale, a student of BVOC JMC from CSRD.

The singers from ‘Runanubandh’ performed patriotic songs. Dr.Vivekananda Kange sang “Mere Desh Ki Dharti,” while Sarika Raghuvanshi and Durga Hure performed “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon.” Dr.Gayatri Kulkarni, Dr.Daman Kashid, Mahesh Ghavate, Bhanudas Mahanor, Sushil Dethe, Ajit Rokde, Dr.Shailendra Khandagale, Charudatt Sasane, Prashant Bandgar, Ratna Shirsalkar, and Neeta Mane also presented songs.

Pratibha Sable won the hearts of the audience by performing the valorous song “Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Sat” in the ‘Neta Kaksh.’ The event was coordinated by Dr.Nitin Jagtap, Sachin Pardeshi, Dr.Umeshchandra Sudrik, Sunil Mahajan, and Dnyaneshwar.
